My latest column is up at AND Magazine!
Here is an excerpt:
A lot of hay has been made of Hillary’s email scandal, and as time goes on, the scandals surrounding the Democrat presidential nominee continue to deepen. But one thing that strikes me as I watch the latest Clinton scandal news is just how little so many in government and the media understand about the basic principles behind the ins-and-outs of just what it was that Hillary did.
After all, if we, as a nation, are going to examine the corruption that is Hillary Clinton, it is important to know the relevant details, so we aren’t getting swept up in the latest headlines, which all too often get colored by political biases.
Not that I’m coming at this as an unbiased observer…my biases are pretty obvious, and they don’t favor Hillary Clinton in any way, shape, matter or form. But in terms of practical experience, I have a Master’s Degree in Information Systems, and I am a Certified Records Manager. For the past 8+ years, I have worked in Information Technology and Records Management, particularly as it pertains to digital records and data. I know more than a little bit about digital records management, digital security best practices, and e-discovery. While I have no love for Hillary Clinton, I cringe whenever I hear some politician’s ignorant commentary, as they dissect the latest scandal with hardly any knowledge of what in the heck is really going on.
