Angel Mom Slams Dems After Son’s Killer Walks Free

Agnes Gibboney, an immigrant who became a U.S. citizen legally, has spent over two decades grieving her son Ronald—gunned down by a previously deported Mexican gang member in California. Now, she’s speaking out louder than ever, torching Democratic leaders and praising Donald Trump for restoring order at the border.

“This is the first time that laws are being enforced,” Gibboney told the Daily Caller. “I am so proud of President Trump and I am so honored to call him my president.”

Her fury comes as Joe Biden’s time in office brought record-breaking illegal crossings and lax enforcement. Gibboney, now a nationally known “angel mom” activist, says Biden did “absolutely nothing” to stop the chaos. In her words, “That man should be in prison for treason.”

Her personal tragedy is harrowing. In 2002, her son Ronald was killed shielding a friend from a gang attack. His killer, Luis Gonzalez, had already been deported once before and had multiple felony convictions. He was still able to sneak back into the U.S.—and take a life.

What stings even more? Gibboney doesn’t even know if her son’s killer has returned again. After finishing his sentence and being deported in 2019, Gonzalez could have walked back across the border during Biden’s disastrous immigration surge. “I can’t be sure where he is now,” she admitted.

She’s fed up with the media obsessing over family separations of illegal migrants. Her response is cold and cutting: “Go cry me a river. Real separation is six feet of dirt above the coffin.”

Gibboney’s story was featured by The American Border Story, a campaign highlighting the lives upended by failed immigration policies. Executive Director Nicole Kiprilov said her story “is a heartbreaking reminder of what’s at stake when our leaders fail to secure the border.”

The fallout from Biden’s weak border stance is everywhere. Just this year, the families of 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray and college student Laken Riley—both reportedly murdered by illegal migrants—have joined the chorus of grief and activism.

In sharp contrast, Trump’s return to the White House in January came with a flurry of executive orders aimed at securing the border. His administration declared a national emergency, resumed construction of the wall, and pressured Mexico to deploy its own security forces. The results? The Trump team now boasts the most secure border in U.S. history.

Still, leftist mayors and mainstream outlets continue trying to frame immigration enforcement as heartless. Gibboney isn’t buying it. She pointed to a recent hoax involving a woman who faked a kidnapping story to gain sympathy, only to be exposed by prosecutors.

For Gibboney, the fight is personal—and ongoing. In 2020, she became the first angel mom to run for Congress, appearing on the ballot alongside Trump. Though she didn’t win, she called it “an honor beyond belief.”

“I have the highest honor and respect for President Trump,” she said. “He’s shown the world what integrity, courage, and self-confidence means.”

As the 2025 election season heats up, voices like Gibboney’s will only grow louder. Her message is clear: America’s border isn’t just a political issue—it’s a matter of life, death, and justice.
